Real Estate Port St Lucie is trending upward!
In recent years, Real Estate Port St Lucie has had its ups and downs. The mid 2000’s showed dramatic rises in property sales and prices. Then came the massive onslaught of foreclosures which gave birth to the short sale, which was a less damaging alternative to foreclosure for homeowners. The short sale allowed the seller to list a property short of what was owed on their mortgage, but at the current market value.
A hardship had to be proven, the lender would need to analyze the borrower’s income, assets, and living expenses, to determine the legitimacy of the declared hardship and approve the sale to go forward. This was appealing to the seller(s) as they could stay in the home (without paying mortgage payments) until the sale closed.
As time went on, the regular “arm’s length” transactions were in the minority and Real Estate Port St Lucie had become a shell of its former glory. In many cases, the value of homes had fallen to half their previous worth. During this time, the home rental market was flourishing as many homeowners lost their property to foreclosure or short sales and needed a place to live. Investors would often purchase distressed Homes for Sale Port St Lucie, rehab them, and then rent them until the market recovered. Which it now has!

The demand is growing and the future is looking prosperous. There is new home construction again, and commercial real estate is growing as well. These are all good signs of a market trending upward.
